》What types of socialization will my puppy have had?
Exposure to new textures, toys, sounds, tunnels, teeter totter, wobble board, older dogs, different surfaces, concrete, grass, carpet, baby pools pending climate, crate introduction and training, grooming essentials (bathes, blow dry, brush, nail dremmel). We do not have young children so no exposure. ENS early neurological stimulation and starting in 2025 ESI early scent introduction
》What food does my puppy eat?

Change in diet...We are in the process of transitioning to another food at Sky Creek.
We have fed Purina Pro plan Sport 30/20 for the last 5+ years. It is a great food but we have seen a difference in the ingredients over the past couple years with huge price increases. The big change was removing the probiotics from the ingredients! We have been searching for sometime now for a product with similar ingredients (most importantly NO PEAS NO FLAXSEED and include probiotics) and a more reasonably priced food. I know I can just add probiotics to the PPP and I have, but when you are already paying $90 for a 50lb bag I just don't feel like we should have to pay even more to include it.
So with all of that being said, THERE IS AN EXTREMELY LIMITED amount of dog food out there that has the three must haves included. I mean almost non existent.
I finally found just one!
Diamond High Energy
HIGH ENERGY is the only recipe by Diamond I have found to have NO FLAX SEED NO PEAS AND INCLUDE PROBIOTICS! The main difference in ingredients is the lack of fish in Diamond High Energy wich is very important for puppy development. I am nervous while transitioning. We are 1 week in mixing both dog foods to slowly transition. So far so good. We will continue this slow transition for another week and re evaluate then and again after 1 month after full transition.
Now Diamond High Energy is an adult only maintenance food sooooo....
Puppies 1 year and under along with our girls confirmed pregnant and through lactation will getting Diamond puppy. I am satisfied with the ingredients for the duration they will be consuming this diet. It does contain flaxseed, but also includes the much needed DHA (by way of fish) for puppy development, but is a temporary diet until transitioning to the adult diet.
We will monitor closely and will make changes if we see the need.

》Will my puppy be potty trained?
No. They will be litter boxed trained which will make it easier but will require your consitancy and supervision until they know where to go and how to tell you. To start a basic routine take them out to the same spot everytime, after they eat or drink, after they wake up, and after they play.
》Is it normal for my puppy to bite?
Normal yes, acceptable no. Provide plenty of chew toys. If your puppy bites during playtime redirect if that does not work, its time to stop playing and take a time out. Be sure you do basic obediece for short spans daily and provide plenty of physical excercise to satisfy the mental and physical needs of your puppy to avoid frustration. Aussie puppies can act like little t rex dinosaurs until they mature. So proper training, setting boundries, and respect are necessary from the very begining

You sure can! You can join our Sky Creek Family Group on facebook to share and view pictures of your dog and other Sky Creek Aussies. Only accesible to Sky Creek Aussie owners so it is semi private.
》Do you stud your dogs out?
Only to females approved after viewing photos, pedigree, OFA HIPS, ELBOWS, EYES, GENETIC PANEL. The bitch owner must also participate in AKC Conformation or performance with their dogs.
If approved contract applies and stud fee minimum is $2000. Chilled and frozen semen can be shipped. All expenses are the responsibiltiy of females owner.
We will no longer stud our dogs out unless you are titling your dogs in AKC Conformation or performance.

You must activley participate in one of the following: conformation, agility, herding, rally, obedience, scent work.
ALL full registration dogs will now be placed on co-ownership only.

We meet 100 miles from our location at no charge. We also travel to Kansas city Airport and Des Moines airport to meet at no charge. We will deliver for $3 per mile from our location if over 100 miles.
》Can you hold a puppy until I decide?
We do not hold puppies without a deposit
》What are your Training Recomendations?
Always an in person class! Additional training i highly recomend are Susan Garret (start with home school the dog and then continue with her other classes) and Baxter and Bella
Also, start socialization immediatley and do it often. This is critical for a well adjusted adult. Take your puppy to new places the following are great: home depot, lowes, tsc, hobby lobby, five below, and all other pet friendly stores. These places have new smells, faces, noises that are great for further socialization

》Will you hold my puppy past 9 weeks old?
We will keep your puppy with us until 10 weeks old at no charge if needed. After 10 weeks old you will be responsible for any heartworm medication and vaccinations due. You will also be charged board and train that is due at pickup. Basic puppy board and train includes our premium food, chews for teething, continued basic socialization and on going crate training, start leash training. This fee is $25 per day.
